Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Her practice investigates how power is inscribed within archives and space through concepts of displacement and occupation. By creating tension within the omissions of official records, Estrada unearths buried memories and challenges hegemonic narratives. Her research intersects historical episodes and iconography with hand-moulded visualities, exposing the links between human agency, territory, and their respective ecosystems.
The artist has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions at venues including Manarat Saadiyat (UAE, 2024), MAM Rio (2025), the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro (2018), and SESC Pompéia (2022–23), among others. Her work is held in both public and private collections. Having studied Visual Arts at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) and the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), she also participated in the Contemporary Artistic Practices programme at Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage and was an artist-in-residence at Gasworks, London (2025).
