Solange Escosteguy

Solange Escosteguy is the result of the Nova Objetividade Brasileira (New Brazilian Objectivity), whose manifest she has signed beside artists such Carlos Vergara, Antonio Dias, Pedro Escosteguy and Rubens Gerchman. Her acting date the year of 1964. At her works, researches in a ludic, poetical and critical way, issues related to geometry, to form, to colour and to text. She creates canvas, sculptures, collages, and garments (life esculptures). Thus, she has formed a body of work endowed with a vocabulary of balance and aesthetic unity. The art of Solange Escosteguy reflects the nature and the architecture in the many cities she have lived throughout her life, producing harmony and tension on what she calls “geometry of life”.
